Read the frame numbers before comparing shapes
The numbers inside an eyewear arm commonly describe lens width, bridge width and temple length in millimetres. Warby Parker’s measurement guide explains these fields. They are different measurements, so a larger lens number alone is not a complete frame-size comparison.
Record the dimensions of a pair that already feels comfortable, then compare the listing’s definitions. Full frame width is another useful question and is not simply the lens-width number. If the seller has not supplied a measurement, ask rather than estimating it from the model photograph.

What eyewear photos can help you compare
Look at the front shape, temple design, hinges and selected colour. A side image can help distinguish a wide arm from a narrow one. Ask for a view that shows the feature you need, and keep the chosen frame variant with the source link.
A product name, dark lens or branded case does not provide a test result for the lenses. This guide has not measured UV filtering, polarisation or optical quality. Do not turn a visual match into a protective-performance claim, and resolve any prescription use with an appropriate professional.
Keep the frame, lenses and included pieces distinct
Write down whether the listing describes sunglasses, a frame or an optical-style accessory, and what is stated about the lenses. Confirm whether a case, cloth or other pictured piece is included. A styled product photo may show more than the selected option actually contains.
For warehouse checks, compare the variant and visible alignment or damage in the available images. Discuss protection for the frame before onward shipping. Packaging and an intact exterior still cannot prove lens performance; those remain separate questions.

Questions about eyewear
A few details
to settle first.
What do three numbers inside a glasses arm mean?
They commonly indicate lens width, bridge width and temple length in millimetres. Read the exact chart and compare all three fields; they are not three alternative ways to state one size.
Does a darker lens prove better UV protection?
A photograph of a dark lens does not provide a protection test result. This guide has not tested the samples. Ask for relevant evidence for the exact lenses rather than inferring performance from colour or branding.
Are these prescription glasses?
The examples are directory sunglasses listings. Do not assume prescription suitability from their frame shape. Establish what the seller supplies and resolve prescription requirements with an appropriate professional.
