How to read Boonbuy QC photos

A visual checklist for warehouse images, the questions to resolve and the limits of what a photograph can prove.

QC means quality control in this context. Warehouse photos are a chance to compare what arrived with what you ordered. They are most useful when you have a specific question, such as whether the colour, label or visible construction matches the selected listing.

What Boonbuy says it checks

Boonbuy’s official homepage advertises three free QC photos per item. If those images do not answer a particular question, check the extra photography or measurement service and its price before requesting it.

In its official quality-inspection FAQ, Boonbuy describes checking purchased clothing for colour, size, obvious damage and other major issues. It also states that details such as colour differences and loose threads are not covered by a complete guarantee. This is the platform’s stated inspection scope, not an independent assessment of your order.

Use your own photo review to identify a precise question within that scope. Keep a request to confirm a size label separate from a request to measure a garment; they answer different questions.

For electronics, the same FAQ describes checking the exterior and included accessories, without powering the item on to test performance. A clear exterior photograph therefore does not establish that an electronic function works.

Begin with your order details

Open the original listing beside the warehouse images. Confirm the product, selected colour, size label and any visible accessories. Review the whole item before zooming in on a small logo detail. A good-looking detail does not resolve a mismatch in the overall item or variant.

Create three notes: what appears correct, what looks different and what the available angles do not show. That is more useful than treating a single photo as an automatic pass or fail.

Check the details that matter for the item

  • Shoes: compare both shoes, their selected size labels, visible shape and outsole details. Ask for a relevant measurement if fit is unresolved.
  • T-shirts and jerseys and jackets: look at visible seams, print placement, cuffs, hems and closures. Check the size label against the order.
  • Pants and shorts: inspect the waistband, hems and visible hardware. A label is not a substitute for the seller’s garment measurements.
  • Bags and accessories: look at straps, closures and the dimensions available in the listing. Photographs do not establish protective performance for eyewear.

These are inspection prompts, not a scoring system. Our product samples have not received a verified QC grade.

Ask for the missing angle or measurement

A request such as “please show both soles” or “please measure chest width flat from these points” gives the warehouse a clearer task than “is the quality good?” Check whether extra photographs or measurement services are available and what they cost before requesting them.

For a clothing measurement, adapt this request to the exact chart:

Please confirm the selected size and measure the garment flat from armpit to armpit. Please show the start and end points of the tape in the photo and state the unit used.

Use the chart’s own measuring points if they differ. A clear request helps you compare the result with your reference garment.

Question Useful request
Does the selected shoe size match? Ask for the size labels on both shoes in a readable image
Is the garment width comparable? Name the chart’s measuring points and ask for the tape’s start and end to be shown
Is a closure visibly damaged? Identify the closure and request a close view of that area

Agree on the service and price first. Keep any charge with the item in your fees and payment record.

The official homepage advertises a free photo allowance; it should not be read as unlimited specialist photography. Use the current service terms for what is included in your order.

Know what images cannot establish

Lighting and camera processing can alter the appearance of colour. An image also cannot reliably establish comfort, fabric composition, wash durability, waterproofing or long-term construction quality. Visible branding does not authenticate an item.

For fit, compare measurements using the sizing checklist. For claims that require a test or certification, look for relevant evidence rather than inferring performance from a photo.

Resolve concerns before shipping onward

Save the relevant images and describe the mismatch precisely. Read the current returns and after-sales policy, including seller conditions and deadlines. Return availability depends on the order; do not assume that every warehouse item is eligible or that all costs are covered.

If you are still browsing rather than reviewing an order, browse more product finds to compare the full listings. Listing photographs and your own warehouse photographs serve different purposes.
