US, UK and EU labels: check the length definition

Keep the seller’s size system beside the product link when saving a sneaker. A US number without its men’s, women’s or other range can be ambiguous. An EU label also does not tell you whether the accompanying centimetre value describes a foot, the inside of the shoe or an insole.

Nike’s own footwear chart distinguishes its CM/JP label from measured foot length. That is a useful example of why chart headings matter; it is not a fit guarantee for a directory listing. Ask the seller which points were measured, and compare only measurements that describe the same thing.

Compare sneakers and slides as different shapes

For a sneaker, record the selected colourway, available width information and the seller’s length definition. Use a comfortable pair as a reference only when you can reproduce the same measuring method. A model name shared by two listings is not evidence of identical fit.

For a slide, look for footbed length and the shape of the strap opening. A top-down photo can hide how much room is available over the foot. If a size question remains, save it with the listing and ask for the relevant measurement before selecting a variant.

Keep shoe QC and box-packing decisions separate

Compare warehouse images with the ordered pair: colour, size labels, toe shape, outsole and both shoes together. Ask for a closer view of an unclear detail. These are visible checks; they do not establish cushioning performance, material composition or authenticity.

For delivery to the US, UK or a European country, request the packed dimensions and available box options. Compare the actual quotes with and without a box if that choice is offered. Do not assume one fixed saving or remove packaging before resolving the product checks.
